About Nine Droid Technologies
Who maintains this page, and why it exists.
Ninedroid.com is a single-purpose resource built around one application: Ninedroid, the Bluetooth companion app for legacy Ninebot self-balancing scooters and personal transporters. The site is maintained by Nine Droid Technologies, and its only goal is to give current and prospective owners of older Ninebot hardware a clear, accurate, up-to-date place to learn about the app and download the current build safely.
How this project started
This site began the way most small, focused projects do: with a piece of hardware that still worked perfectly well, and an official app that had quietly stopped supporting it. When Segway-Ninebot rebuilt its companion app around its newer product line, owners of the original Ninebot One and Ninebot Mini scooters were left with fully functional vehicles and no straightforward way to see a battery percentage or a firmware version from their phone. Ninedroid already existed as a lightweight alternative built for exactly that hardware generation, but reliable information about it — an accurate version number, a real changelog, honest compatibility notes — was scattered across forum threads and third-party mirror sites of varying trustworthiness. Ninedroid.com was put together to fix that: one place, kept current, with nothing hidden and nothing exaggerated.
Why this site exists
The original generation of Ninebot self-balancing scooters shipped with Bluetooth pairing supported by a dedicated companion app. As Segway-Ninebot's product line moved forward, its official app was rebuilt around newer hardware, and support for the original scooters and transporters became harder to find through mainstream channels. This page exists to keep accurate, current information about that legacy app in one place — specifications, real screenshots, an honest description of what it does and does not do, and a direct link to the current APK build.
How we verify and review the app
Before any specification on this site is published or updated, we install the current build on a physical Android device and pair it with an actual first-generation Ninebot unit. We don't take version numbers, file sizes or feature lists from other listings and republish them — every figure on our homepage reflects what we observed ourselves during that testing pass, including pairing time, dashboard responsiveness, and which permission prompts actually appear on first launch. When a new version is released, we repeat this process before updating the changelog, rather than simply copying the developer's release notes.

We hold ourselves to a few simple rules when writing about Ninedroid or any Ninebot hardware:
- We only publish specifications and compatibility claims we've verified ourselves against real hardware

- We correct mistakes publicly and promptly once they're reported, rather than quietly editing pages
- We do not accept payment from any party to alter compatibility claims, reviews or rankings on this site

What we don't do
We are not the original developer of the Ninebot hardware or its firmware, and we do not modify the APK file in any way. We are not affiliated with Segway-Ninebot's current product line or its official application. We don't accept sponsored placements that would misrepresent device compatibility, and we don't publish specifications we haven't personally checked. If you own a current-generation Segway-Ninebot scooter or e-bike, please use the manufacturer's own app and official support channels — Ninedroid is not built for that hardware, and we say so plainly throughout this site.
Who this site is for
This resource is written for a fairly specific reader: someone who already owns an original Ninebot One, Ninebot Mini, or an early Ninebot-branded personal transporter, and who found that the current official app no longer recognizes their device. If that's you, the homepage, compatibility list and troubleshooting guide are built to get you paired and riding again with as little friction as possible. If you're shopping for a new scooter, this probably isn't the site you're looking for — we'd point you toward the manufacturer's current lineup instead.
